Other Pool & Water Features
Our attention to detail is one of the things that sets us apart from other pool builders. We know that your swimming pool should be more than just functional, it should add interest and beauty to your backyard. Incorporating a water feature, such as a waterfall or fountain, can greatly enhance your backyard project. Water features come in many different styles. From a raised spa that pours over a spillway into the pool below to a bubbling fountain rising from a beach entry or baja ledge, deck jets sending arches of water across the pool’s surface or a cascade of water from a stone wall, the list goes on. Any of these unique water features will help transform your swimming pool into an elegant backyard resort.
Atlas Pools, Inc. is proud to offer one of the most popular and visually stunning pool features – the “infinity edge”. Infinitely edge pools have one “negative edge” on one side of the pool, meaning that the edge is level with the water level of the pool. Water spills over this edge into a catch basin below, where it is then pumped back into the pool. And the effect is breathtaking as your pool seems to “float” above the landscaping and view of the yard, or seamlessly blend with a water landscape backdrop.
The use of natural and/or man made rock can have a dramatic effect on your swimming pool design. From simple pebble work in a wall or deck to dramatic boulders flanking a pool or defining a waterfall, rocks and boulders help to create the serene awe of nature.
Beach entries and baja steps are a beautiful and functional departure from the historic three steps in the shallow end of the pool. Much like a beach that gradually descends into the ocean waves, a beach entry pool features a deck that gently slopes beneath the surface of the water and becomes increasingly deep as you move forward.
A baja step can also be incorporated. This is simply a large rounded step, generally only a few inches to a foot or so deep, that allows you and your guests to lounge in the water without becoming entirely immersed. A series of baja steps may be incorporated for lounging at different depths. We recommend you add an umbrella stand in the baja step. Consider adding a bubbler as well to either your beach entry or baja step.
Pool steps provide easy entry into your pool and benches and shelves provide casual lounging areas and a secondary exit from your pool.
Atlas Pools, Inc. also installs landscape lighting.
